IT DIES TODAY To Film 'Enjoy The Silence' Video
October 2, 2005IT DIES TODAY, fresh off a successful run on this summer's Ozzfest, will be filming a video for their cover of DEPECHE MODE's "Enjoy the Silence" on Monday, October 3 in downtown Los Angeles with director Pax Franchot (FROM FIRST TO LAST, AT ALL COST). The clip will reportedly "combine the look and feel of early David Lynch and the stylings of Edgar Allen Poe to create a unique video populated by the a macabre cast of characters lead by Annabel Lee as they wander through the mind of the poet. . . Set in a haunted mansion, the video features elements from poems and short stories such as 'The Tell Tale Heart', 'The Raven', 'The Mask of the Red Death', 'The Black Cat', and 'The Fall of the House of Usher'. The video is tied together by Poe himself writing his final poem, 'Annabel Lee' as she rises from her sepulcher by the sea and wanders the dusty rooms of his mind coming full circle as they sink down together into the grave."
IT DIES TODAY's cover of "Enjoy the Silence" appears on the soundtrack to the highly anticipated "Masters of Horror" anthology series, which is scheduled for release on October 18 via Immortal Records. Along with IT DIES TODAY, the CD features brand new and previously unreleased material from 30 top metal, hardcore, punk and rock acts, including MUDVAYNE, BUCKETHEAD (featuring Serj Tankian of SYSTEM OF A DOWN),THURSDAY, SHADOWS FALL, MASTODON, IN FLAMES, ALKALINE TRIO, AVENGED SEVENFOLD and many others.
